I am a PhD candidate in Engineering Sciences at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), currently conducting research as an intern at the AIDOS Lab at the University of Fribourg.

As an Affiliated PhD Researcher at Chile’s National Center for Artificial Intelligence (CENIA), my work focuses on the intersection of Deep Learning and Topological Data Analysis (TDA). I am particularly interested in analyzing diverse Neural Network phenomena through topological lenses.

Research Interests

  • Topological Data Analysis in Deep Learning: Investigating neural network behaviors, such as model transferability and network pruning, using topological frameworks.
  • Signal Processing & Time-Series Analysis: Extracting representations from continuous complex data, including EEG neural responses and speech audio signals.
  • Geospatial Data Analysis: Applying machine learning to complex urban systems and and mobility networks.
  • Graphs: Everybody likes graphs.
